Mesothelioma or Asbestos Question?

Lawsuits filed alleging long term asbestos exposure in courthouse

Two lawsuits have been filed alleging long term asbestos exposure at the Jackson County Courthouse in downtown Kansas City.

One suit was filed by a veteran courthouse employee who has been diagnosed with Mesothelioma, a form of cancer that is mainly caused by exposure to asbestos. The other suit is a class action suit that has been filed for employees, people who visit the courthouse and their families who could have been exposed to the asbestos anytime from 1983 to the present.

Besides the courthouse, the suit also names an engineering company that has worked on the building for more than 30 years, according to the suit.
