Mesothelioma or Asbestos Question?

Rusk Motel undergoes abestos removal before demolition

The old Rusk Motel in East Texas will soon be demolished but first asbestos abatement must be performed, according to officials.

Officials also said that the appropriate measures will be taken in order to keep the citizens of the community safe. Three buildings make up the site that will be demolished. The asbestos removal will be completed within 10 days, which is the time mandated by state law.

A plastic tent will be covering the building in order to contain the asbestos particles and prevent them from becoming airborne. Suits and respirators were also worn by workers in order to protect them from the hazardous material.
