Mesothelioma or Asbestos Question?

Hollywood actor dies of mesothelioma

Famous American actor, Ed Lauter died Wednesday, October 16 after suffering from malignant pleural mesothelioma. The 74-year-old actor achieved Hollywood notoriety from his roles in Charlie’s Angels, The Longest Yard, The Artist, and many other films.

From his diagnosis, doctors suspect that Lauter had been exposed to asbestos when he was much younger. Patients diagnosed with pleural mesothelioma typically have a 6-18 month life expectancy.

Mesothelioma is known for its latency period, a portion of time where the disease is undetectable. Due to this difficulty in diagnosis, many people who develop mesothelioma are beyond a treatable condition. If you, or someone you know, have been exposed to asbestos call 800-781-3955 to learn more about your options.
