Mesothelioma or Asbestos Question?

Construction company fined for asbestos handling negligence

A construction company from Pennsylvania and its owner were sentenced to probation and ordered to pay a fine for violating the Clean Air Act, wivb.com stated.

Lycoming Construction Services, LLC will have to pay $100,000 and serve two years of probation–the owner, Leo Williams, was personally fined $25,000 and must serve a year of probation– after sending workers to demolish several buildings in Jamestown in 2012. The company reportedly failed to provide their workers sufficient safety measures even though they knew the buildings contained asbestos. The state’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) also ordered William’s company to provide an environmental training module for their staffs.

Those who are exposed to asbestos in the workplace due to negligence are at high risk of suffering serious health problems.
