WSU Seeks Funds for Asbestos Abatement

Wright State University has had to relocate 14 employees from its Kettering Center because of asbestos concerns. On Monday, the building’s operations were suspended and asbestos abatement needs to occur before the university can renovate it.

Complete removal of the asbestos is estimated to cost between $650,000 and $750,000 with up to an extra $6 million for renovation costs. The university is currently seeking funding to have the building renovated so that it can continue its presence in downtown Dayton, Ohio.
