Mesothelioma or Asbestos Question?

New Study Draws Link Between Sheet Metal and Mesothelioma

A study released in the August, 2009 issue of the American Journal of Industrial Medicine confirmed the long-suspected link between sheet metal work and the development of mesothelioma later in life.  Researchers inspected 17,345 sheet metal workers and tested them for mesothelioma.  According to their research, working in the field for over 20 years greatly increases your risk for developing the life-threatening form of cancer.

The study confirms a long-held theory that sheet workers are at a greater risk for developing mesothelioma, due to regular handling of products which contain asbestos.
