Mesothelioma or Asbestos Question?

Australian Doctors Develop New Mesothelioma Treatment

A group of doctors in Australia has developed a new type of mesothelioma treatment, which they say will extend the life expectancy of patients suffering from the disease by an average of two years, up from the current expectancy of 18 months.

Like many new treatments in the field of mesothelioma oncology, the new method from Australia is a mix of surgery and serious radiation treatment. It was developed in part by a radiation oncologist at the Austin Health Centre in Victoria.
