UK Man Dies of Mesothelioma Three Decades After Asbestos Exposure

A pipelifting apprentice in the UK has died of mesothelioma, three decades after his exposure to it.

The 71-year-old worked as an apprentice at the Warrington cotton mill. He repeatedly had to use a hammer to to dislodge the steam pipes. The pipes were covered in asbestos and the hammering would cause a cloud a asbestos to fill the air. After leaving the cotton mill, he was no longer exposed to asbestos. Mesothelioma is an aggressive, incurable cancer which is caused from breathing in asbesots particles.
