Asbestos found in recreation center causes workers to relocate

The city employees at Saratogo Springs East Side Recreation Field have been relocated after asbestos was found at the structure.

The field house was closed in early February after asbestos was found in the structure. According to officials, the amount of asbestos is not a potential health hazard, but workers have been relocated from the site as a precaution. The building is owned by the school district and they will hiring an asbestos abatement contractor to clean the field house as soon as possible.
