Mesothelioma or Asbestos Question?

School district receives funds to have asbestos removed from high school

The Davison School District in Michigan has tapped into a general fund in order to get the asbestos removed from the high school before renovations are scheduled.

The project will be done by mid-July and Quality Abatement Services Inc. in Detroit was chosen to do the work. The asbestos must be removed before the approved technology upgrades are to be done.

Some school board members were shocked that asbestos could still be in the high school after they have already removed much of it. The district finance director said that there is less than five percent of asbestos in the school and environmental requirements state that it must be done by a certified asbestos abatement contractor.
