New research now shows that asbestos exposure may be linked to the development of heart disease and stroke.

In the latest study, scientists looked into the cause of death of 100,000 workers that were exposed to asbestos and it was found that the a significantly higher number of them died of a cardiovascular disease. It was also found that this may affect woman more than men.
