Mesothelioma or Asbestos Question?

White House recently rejects asbestos bill

On Tuesday, November 12, the White House rejected the Furthering Asbestos Claim Act (FACT), an asbestos bill that was highly supported by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

FACT aimed to set limits on asbestos trusts to file for bankruptcy. The White House rejected the bill because it would unfairly divulge the personal information of asbestos victims to the public.

The White House also said in a statement that the bill derived from the false claim that fraud is prevalent in the asbestos trust system.

Asbestos poses a huge threat to the health of people that have come into contact with it. If you have been exposed to asbestos, fill out the contact for at the top of this page to learn more about your legal options.
